The Fleet Feet Dirty Secret Trail Run will cure your winter blues featuring a Short Course; 5.8 miles and a Long Course; 10.3 miles. (distances subject to change)
Held on the trails in Cool, California, The Dirty Secret is far from a leisurely cruise. If the meadows of spring flowers don’t get your heart pounding, the rolling hills definitely will. There’s cool single track that winds through heritage oaks and passes several ponds. A section of the Long Course with an archway of craggy oak trees dripping with moss is aptly named Sleepy Hollow. A calf high crossing of snow fed water awaits all runners at Knickerbocker Creek.
The trails featured at The Dirty Secret are frequented by relatively few but are legendary in status. A small section of the race is on the Western States Trail. We promise not to make finding the trail too mysterious. The courses will be well marked and will have water and electrolytes at the aid stations. To lure you back to the finish we’ll have a plate of strawberry pancakes hot off the grill for each participant.
